Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk I
Hours: 2nd Shift
Job Responsibilities:
- Shipping of production outbound
- Receiving of inbound materials, components, and supplies
- Prepare shipping BOL, documents, labels and customs paperwork for international delivery
- Prepare product for shipping via national and global means, including crating, shrink-wrapping, and banding
- Operate crane, pallet jack, and forklift to load panels for shipping
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, and cherry picker/man-lift
- Count and verify shipping contents for damage and accuracy
- Once product is inspected, enter details into M1 (ERP)
- Complete and send packaging slips to accounting in a timely manner
- Assist in training measures as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, clean and efficient work area
- Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
- Identify and assist in process improvement measures
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Prior warehouse shipping experience required, preferably in an industrial setting
- Ability to use strapping/banding equipment
- ERP experience desired
- Forklift driving experience required (certification process provided)
- High motivation level and ability to multi-task
- Ability to read and follow company shipping documents
- Ability to work with independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work well with others
- Meticulous attention to detail, organization and time management skills
- Good math and communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without the aid of an interpreter
- Ability to work overtime depending on work load
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours per day
- Lifting up to 50-85 lbs frequently with assistance
