2Nd Shift Production Supervisor

If you have leadership and supervisory experience, enjoy working in a production environment, and have knowledge of embroidery, alterations, and heat transfer functions, apply today!  We are in search of a 2nd Shift Embellishments Supervisor to join our two-time Houston Top Workplace award winning team.  The 2nd Shift Embellishments Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of 7-10 members dedicated to customizing flame-resistant garments and ensuring top notch accuracy and quality in every order. The Houston Distribution Center is located near I45-N and Beltway 8 and the 2nd shift schedule is 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. • Oversee all facets of the Embellishments department including industrial machine operation, heat transfer, barcoding, sewing and trimming to ensure accuracy and quick fulfillment of every order;
• Assign work to members and temporary associates to meet daily production demand;
• Become a subject matter expert on the Embellishments production tracking software to schedule and maximize machine production while also meeting service commitments;
• Consult with the Embellishments Manger to ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate with HR to hire full time, part time, and/or temporary labor as needed;
• Onboard and train members in required activities and Tyndale processes and procedures;
• Establish and communicate individual performance goals; provide regular ongoing performance feedback and coaching; write and deliver Interim and Annual Performance Reviews; 
• Motivate staff to achieve optimal performance and maintain positive employee morale;
• Approve PTO; track attendance and provide feedback and disciplinary action if/when appropriate;
• Collaborate with Managers, Supervisors, and Members of other departments to resolve issues;
• Ensure members follow established guidelines to ensure a high degree of quality and safety;
• Monitor and maintain inside budgetary guidelines for labor and expenses;
• Schedule machine maintenance to ensure optimal operation as necessary;

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred;
• Knowledge of Industrial Embroidery Machines, Heat Transfer Machines, Sewing Machines, etc. a plus;
• Three to Five years’ experience with Embellishments operations preferred;
• Intermediate computer skills required;
• Strong attention to detail necessary;
• Strong communication and training skills required;
• Multilingual (English/Spanish) a plus;
