Title: Payroll & Benefits HR Lead Division: School Support Office Location: Caliber Public Schools (Richmond/Vallejo) Reports to: Sarah Strom, Head of People Status: Full-time, Exempt, (Year-Round) Compensation: Salaried Salary Scale: $80,000-$95,000 (based on years of experience and expertise) *Scales are competitive with other charter school organizations and local districts. Accounting Code: 2410-Office Staff Salaries/9999-E11 Other Ops & Admin Support Position Summary: The 22-23 Payroll and Benefits Lead is responsible for supporting the Head of People with all the direct routine functions of Benefits and Payroll administration within the Caliber People Department. This position will be cross-trained to assist with other personnel related functions as needed, including but not limited to, HR compliance, onboarding, terminations, COVID response, recruitment, etc. This position is designed as an in-person role and will be expected to work in person from Caliber's SSO Office or one of our schools. Requirements / Qualifications Requirements / QualificationsQualifications Required: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Within 60 days of hire, provision of TB (tuberculin) clearance, as mandated by the California Education Code CA DOJ and FBI fingerprint (Livescan) clearance prior to the first day of school Preferred: Education: BA or BS degree Experience: 3-5 years of relevant HR experience 2-5 years of payroll processing &/or employee benefits administration experience (preferred) Skills Demonstrated ability to effectively support a number of team members simultaneously Ability to work with an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse team Strong project and task prioritization skills required to ensure that projects are completed on time in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment Strong written and oral communication skills Flexible and adaptable to shifting needs and work cycles throughout the school year Strong Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) skills required Experience with HRIS / payroll systems (particularly Paycom & BambooHR) a plus Spanish language skills preferred Mindsets Strong customer-service orientation and understanding of the support needs of a school environment Deep commitment to Caliber Public Schools' educational mission and strong desire to make a difference in a high-performing organization Values: Caliber staff...
