LOCATION: Orchard View Schools

POSITION: Mental Health/PBIS Coordinator (Administrative Contract)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Michigan School Counselor or Social Work License or Licensed Master's level Social Worker or School Psychologist or Board-Certified Psychologist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the district wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports initiative.
• Collaborate with school social workers, counselors, administrators, teaching staff and agencies to develop an Interconnected Systems Framework.
• Foster a district-wide culture and learning climate which sees and supports all learners.
• Used available data sources to coordinate interventions and supports for families and learners across the district.
• Lead team process to develop, implement, consult, and monitor individual behavior plans at the individual school level.
• Coordinate and collaborate to develop best practices at all tiers (Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3) including, but not limited to:
  • District-wide PBIS Matrix
  • Selection and installation of school-wide Tier I PBIS instruction
  • Supporting building principals and building PBIS chairs
  • Data collection,
  • Development and implementation of best practices in designing PBSP's.
  • Ability to use effective instructional strategies and techniques for at-risk learners
  • Ability to effectively lead/facilitate group processes
  • Coordination of services with community partners
  • Providing mental health session to individual or small groups of learners
  • Tracking and monitoring data relating to learners and interventions
  • CICO coordination
  • Supporting instructional staff in implementing best practices
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral form
