JOB SUMMARY:
The Propeller Manufacturing Engineering Intern position supports the McCauley team and develops their manufacturing and industrial knowledge. Support manufacture of complex propeller systems, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.

The Propeller Manufacturing Engineering Intern position supports the McCauley team and develops their manufacturing and industrial knowledge. Support manufacture of complex propeller systems, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Redesign tooling to improve operators' work environment
- Automate processes and improve facility layouts for product flow
- Create reference documents and standard practices to assist the team
- Implement quality improvements and explore new equipment or software.
- Assist with the work in a wide variety of disciplines such as lean manufacturing, electrical, computer science, aircraft environmental systems, structures, and robotics.
- Works well in a cross-functional and diverse team environment and is able to successfully manage thru a great deal of ambiguity.
- Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.
- Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company products and processes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Robotics Technology
- Other related fields
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Collaborates and easily gets along in team-based environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer Proficiency (MS Office, CAD, etc.)
- Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
- Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
- Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
