This position is a 1st shift position with the following schedule:
Monday-Friday 6:15AM to 2:45PM
Pay rate: $16.85
POSITION SUMMARY
- This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for activities to support the process for returned/recalled pharmaceutical products to be sent for destruction. The position requires attention to detail and ability to follow direction from Operations Manager. Required to read and understand standard operating procedures specific to this position.
- A candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision, be proactive and work effectively. Material Handlers receive their daily job assignments from the Warehouse Managers or Warehouse Leads. Material Handlers will be provided regular updates on production progress. If Material Handlers encounter a challenging delivery or package handling issue, they state this to the Warehouse Lead, who helps resolve the problem.
- A Material Handler should have effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly solve any issues that may appear.
- Collaboration and teamwork abilities are also important and regularly used on the job, as Material Handlers work as a team to find new and efficient ways to handle and move various items. Material Handlers are often in charge of keeping different work areas neat and clean so organization skills are needed to effectively handle these tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Opening envelopes/boxes of product trade returns with box cutter
- Visually match/identify the RA on the outside of the envelope/box to the paperwork inside
- Identifying and Confirming the right products are in the box compared to the RA provided during the delivery process
- Smoothing debit memo paperwork/removing staples to make it easier for Staging to run through the scanner
- Handling the returns by completing the required Screen Prompts and scanning into the system using a Paper Scanner.
- Placing/dumping the product into a tote
- Writing a placard that lists the RA and tote barcode to streamline the Staging process
- Labeling each completed Pallet of totes for storage
- Assist with miscellaneous duties as needed e.g. Helping to separate Recalls
- Be willing to learn new tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly work station and work area.
- The individual in this position must be authorized to work in the U.S. and will need to consent to a criminal background check and a drug test.

Additional Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Experience in working in warehouse, distribution or production environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day), Stationary for prolonged periods of time, keyboard use (greater than 50% of the workday). Lifting up to 70 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position requires working in a warehouse environment with recalled and expired pharmaceutical products. Some of these products may be penicillin, amoxicillin, cephalosporins and anticancer compounds. In addition, the individual may be working with controlled drug substances.
